Twig Jewelry Holder

Published by intricategirl at 10:21 am under Uncategorized Edit This

You can make a cute twig jewelry holder using only some old branches, a flat piece of wood, some screws, and a fixative spray.

First, pick out some good branches.  They should be small, but very, very sturdy.  You certainly don’t want your jewelry to come crashing down, so make sure the branches can support their weight.  But you also don’t want the piece to be too unweildy.  Experiment and find a good size that works for you.

You will need to drill some holes in the board.  To do this properly, it may be best to arrange the branches, and then mark a small circle around each one.  Then, you simply drill into the center of the circle and erase the circle.  After you have the holes in it, you use a very small drill bit and drill a pilot hole into each of the branches, right through the bottom.  The branches should be cut in a way so that they are flat against the board and stand upright.  Then, screw through the bottom of the board, and into the branch, in order to hold it permanently upright.

Finally, hang your jewelry from the branches.
